Mortgage Miser is an Australian owned company that has a singular focus to set you free from the burden of your mortgage. Started by two partners David Box and Warwick Foster, they have developed a business model to educate people on how to personally grab control of their finances to enable them pay off their home loans faster. They feel that people need a visual, interactive tool to help them control their expenses by using their home loan facility to reduce all personal debt quickly and efficiently.

Club Operations provides software applications (both web based and smartphone) for sports clubs and associations, initially focussed on the sport of sailing. Started by Peter Merritt whose life-long passions for the sport of sailing and development of high technology solutions has combined to deliver solutions that sailing clubs use to increase participation in the sport. MySailingClub, a web based app, provides sailing clubs with a sailing competition management IT system. The major innovation is to provide a smartphone app (Sailor) that interfaces to the web app.

HR Staff n’ Stuff is an HR consulting company providing a wide range of services to a diverse client base. Key to the business profile and a significant point of difference in the market is their embedded HR Manager service where they act as the in-house HR department in businesses. Services include a number of flat rate ‘products’ such as three levels of recruitment, employment contracts, workplace policies and position descriptions, as well as their innovative – Buy The Time product for ad hoc HR support.

Honeybell Waterwear is a boutique UPF50+ sun protection clothing line for stylish Australian women who know that life is too short for an ugly rashie. All Honeybell Waterwear garments are made in a lightweight, quick-drying, and breathable ‘rashie’ fabric. Most importantly they are also certified as providing UPF50+ protection, the highest possible rating available, blocking 98% of the sun’s damaging UVA/UVB rays. Annaliese Allan founded the company in 2016 and now engages with 50,000 women (and growing!) weekly on Facebook alone sharing sun safe tips, mummy moments and showcasing her designs.

Scientell is a science communication and marketing business specialising in planning and implementing communication strategies for scientific agencies. Our work is about distilling technical information for non-scientific audiences; policy-makers, industry leaders, young people, and specific stakeholder groups and disseminating the resulting products via the media, social media, or in a brochure, booklet, book, website or other format. After co-authoring 17 children’s books in their spare time while working together at CSIRO, Simon Torok and Paul Holper formed Scientell in November 2015 to expand the communication services and activities as a consultancy.

Story Mama is an online children’s bookstore. They stock a huge range of carefully curated, parent recommended, great quality books for children ages 0-9. They help parents, grandparents and educators who value books and reading discover the perfect book to read to or with their child. Story Mama advocates reading to kids and Australian literary talent especially in the digital age. Story Mama was born to fill a need in the community. Story Mama hand picks a selection of books they have read and recommend for kids.

Gosh Hair Mt Waverley is a multi-award winning hair salon in Mt Waverley. They support local Kindergartens and Primary Schools across Mount Waverley, Ashwood and Glen Waverley with service and product donations for fundraising. They support the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Program where people donate their hair to be turned into wigs for women undergoing cancer treatment- we provide the hair cutting to their standards to maximise the donation. All the staff underwent Auslan training so clients with hearing impairments can have meaningful consultations.

Informally, they have built a strong engagement with women in the community facing breast and other cancers and provide a private service to remove their hair (chemotherapy clients) as well as styling and cutting their wigs. This has happened almost organically through word of mouth, and it’s not a service they charge for.

DVJS has been assisting people with disabilities access suitable open employment opportunities since 1993, largely with local employers. It has grown from a one site office to have 8 offices in south east Melbourne. Offices were opened up in Oakleigh and Glen Waverley in 2013. DVJS have placed thousands of people into work, changing their lives for the better and inspiring employers as they have assisted this process by giving them a job. DVJS see themselves as part of the broad Monash community, working largely with local employers to provide opportunities for local people who have disabilities or health conditions. They continue to work with both the worker and the employer after employment has commenced to try and ensure the placement is successful for the long term. DVJS believe in their clients, working with them to ensure they have the right skills and attitude and then promoting them to businesses.

CPEC provides Early Intervention Services (0-6yrs) to children with Cerebral Palsy or similar physical/movement disorders with very complex needs. CPEC specialises in communication for children with complex communication needs. It is the only centre if its type in Australasia. CPEC delivers a trans disciplinary service from physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists with emphasis on teaching the children and families to be able to access and participate in normal daily life. 80% of CPEC’s children go on to be enrolled in mainstream school.

SEV provides volunteer recruitment, as well as Transport, Social Support and Safety Register for isolated and aged residents in the City of Monash. The Volunteering program provides trained volunteers to over 500 community agencies in the South Eastern region. SEV was established in 1985 as Monash Volunteer Resource Centre in Glen Waverley to meet the needs of small NFP’s who use volunteers, providing them with recruitment and training assistance. SEV established their own social enterprise known as CrimCheck that provides low cost police checks for the not for profit sector.

Ray White Glen Waverley is a clear market leading business in the real estate services sector. The diverse multi-cultural team of 60 professionals service home buyers and sellers throughout the City of Monash. They have 20 dedicated team members assisting tenants and landlords with all aspects of property management. Home loans, utility connections and insurance services are also part of our service landscape. Managing Director, Damian Moore opened the doors in February 2003 with himself and a team of two. Today, Ray White Glen Waverley employ 60 plus staff and provide an array of services to the real estate sector.

HORNER are a local Recruitment / HR consulting business. With Monash being the second largest employment destination in Melbourne, HORNER has built a business supporting local small businesses, large corporates, not-for-profits and government organisations to find the right staff, meet short term staffing needs, improve their HR practices, develop their teams and ensure the safety of their staff. They are seen as the local experts having been in the Monash area for nearly 20. Over this time they have grown significantly from a small business to a medium business and are proud to have assisted hundreds of organisations over this time, many who have been partnering with us for 10-15 years.

Anytime Fitness is a 24 hour fitness club. Anytime Fitness commenced in the USA in 2002 and Anytime Fitness Australia began in 2010. Within 6 years, Anytime Fitness has grown to over 3,300 clubs worldwide and 450 clubs within Australia and 100 clubs in Victoria. Anytime Fitness Glen Waverley has been open since April 2016. Although the business is still young, the local community is embracing them as the product has been able to bring health and fitness to many people that reside within Glen Waverley central.

They are an international brand bringing management skills from various industries into the real estate industry including marketing, processes and training is a big part of the business.

Living Health Group offers a range of health services taking a collaborative approach to help facilitate the restoration, and maximising the efficiency of the body’s health and well-being. This is done by educating the clients, working together as a team to develop treatment plans, rehab and exercise prescriptions. Dr Lisa Gadd has been leading the Living Health Group team since 2014, providing services that are client centred, evidence based and goal orientated. Living Health Group came about through Lisa’s sudden stoke at the age of 24.

Anitech Consulting is supporting clients across different industries in developing, implementing and maintaining business management systems. The services provided as gap assessment, auditing, system implementation, training, documentation and maintenance of the management systems. Another brand of Anitech Consulting is HIVE Noise Solutions. HIVE Noise Solutions provides end to end to noise solutions such as site noise assessment, on-site hearing tests, supply of hearing protection and safety PPEs and site safety audits. The company operates across Australia and has offices in Melbourne and Brisbane.
