Following a major shift to new premises earlier this year, truck and street sweeper distributor KOR is on the move again.
The company, which has seen exponential growth over the past few years, has taken the keys to a 3500sqm sales and service centre in Mount Druitt. The expansion directly follows a move that combined service, sweeper assembly and fabrication – previously done on three separate premises – under one roof at an 8000sqm Dandenong South site. Head office remains in Mulgrave and KOR continues to sponsor the MBA.
“It brings all those teams together to work toward the same goals.”

CEO Andy Kimpton (pictured above) said the move was a carefully executed operation that would be of great benefit to customers.
“It brings all those teams together to work toward the same goals,” Andy said. “It gives us the benefit of being a one-stop shop for customers to come for all their specific needs: for servicing, spares, refurbishment, breakdowns. We also have a mobile service van that can go to site for customers as well.”
The addition of the Mount Druitt site reflects the rapid growth KOR has experienced. In just three years, the number of staff has tripled. Andy attributes such growth to the expansion of infrastructure across Australia and the capabilities of KOR’s specialist trucks to complete that work.
“The nature of our specialist trucks are non-destructive digging, drain cleaning and vacuum loading, which is what’s needed for all the underground assets – gas, electricity, sewers,” Andy said. “The other thing that’s driven the growth for us is how we order at least 18 months in advance. We have products in production and on the water at any one time. We can also trade in units for people and we have straight purchasing of the units, so we give business financial options.”
KOR has now been in business for eleven years. It has a depot in Queensland and sales teams across the country. From here, Andy said KOR would continue to build its capabilities in existing territories and uplift capabilities in Victoria. A new training app to support customers in using KOR equipment is part of that plan.
“We are focused on how we can support the industry and better use the equipment we supply,” Andy said. “ The cornerstones of the KOR vision are around ensuring operations are easy for our customers.”
